Elly was super excited to have her 4th birthday celebration at the academy where she takes gymnastics class. She invited most of the girls in her class & we invited 2 of Maddy's friends. It was the best $ spent on a party yet. :)
The first 1/2 hour was spent doing an obstacle course...
Then, the girls got instructions on using the parachute.
Lots of fun!
Hiding underneath!
After that it was free play! The high & low bars, jumping into the foam pit, the trampoline, the bouncy house, rings, etc...
Maddy did this trick every single time she got on the high bar. She is very strong!
Elly is very brave!
Elly wanted a Little Pony party...
Daddy helped her get a good angle!
Her cake turned out so cute!
Daddy helped her get a good angle!
Yes, Maddy. You only get 1 piece of cake. ;)
Elly got this really fun game, Zingo. She loves it.
The staff member helping put on the party used to go to RMS and Ms. Ann was her teacher, too.
She was so helpful & kind. She loved it that all of these little girls were students of Ms. Ann's. It is such a small world.
It was a great afternoon!
As soon as we got home, the girls started pulling out the gifts. :)

Is she not the cutest thing? :) She has on her necklace she made at summer camp, her pippi longstocking piggytails she wears to bed, & she is missing her 2 front teeth. :) Now, she has the most adorable little lisp...gosh, I love my little MRW. :)
I was able to see both Wade girls at the carnival. That is truly the BEST part of my job! Elly was in heaven with her cotton candy...
Bouncy house...
I love this picture of her hair! :)
Don't think Elly had all the fun! Look at Maddy! What a smile!
Here they are together waiting to throw balls to dunk Ms. Lisa...
The campers make all of the sno cones & cotton candy & popcorn...
The cupcake walk...
They made all of the yummy looking cupcakes, too!
Maddy REALLY enjoyed her sno cone...
Face painting...
Here comes Sally, the tortoise!
Sally was trying to eat some grapes...
It was a very fun day! :)
We also took the girls back to our hometown for the annual parade & a night at the carnival. We had so much fun seeing the cousins, playing in the newly remodeled A-town pool, & staying up WAY past our bedtime. ;)
We had quite a scare this week as Maddy fell at summer camp (ironically, she was only there for about 2 hours that day. :/) She slipped on a climber that was wet from a rainstorm & suffered a serious straddle injury. She was very swollen and black & blue. We had to take her to the doctor but, thankfully, her little body was able to absorb all of the blood & she did NOT develop a hematoma. Praise God.
I have been extremely busy at work this past month. I have been busy working with Heather & preparing to take over as the Toddler Guide at the Montessori school where I teach. I am extremely excited about this as this has been in the works since Feb. '08. (!) It is really hard to keep a secret for that long. Shew! I'm glad it is out in the open. I take over on August 3. So, I have been very busy in my classroom...preparing new practical life works, art works, & doing a LOT of reading. :) My staff is in place (except a late pm teacher and we are hoping to hire one by the end of the week.) and I am ready for my new hours...8am - 4pm sounds pretty nice. Wish me luck!
