4th of July Parade.

On Thursday, the summer campers had a 4th of July parade around the primary playground. I went & got Elly (who was having her swim time...so she is decked out with her blue swimsuit & swim goggles!) I forgot my camera...so had to use my phone instead. I was pleasantly surprised with how they turned out! The campers have been working all week on flags...
Some walked on stilts...
They rode the little trikes with wagons & waved flags.
Some campers rode their bikes or scooters.
Some brought boxes from home to make one person floats.
They painted their faces... Do you see Elly?
Maddy didn't want to make a float...she really wanted to play her recorder! She was so sweet at the very end playing her recorder! :)
Spotting Elly at the parade... It was a long parade...winding around the path, over by the swimming pools...
around the playground...
by the tire swings and primary soccer goals...
here comes Maddy again...playing a little tune. :)
Reaching out to Elly...we moved spots so we could see her again! :)
The end.
Have a safe & fun 4th of July!

We are grilling pork tenderloin & corn on the cob and making homemade ice cream. Yummy! We have fireworks to shoot off later & will go and watch the BIG fireworks tonight. Elly has been very brave (since the loud booms scare her) and has decided she wants to go...we will see what happens. :)

How very precious. She looks like a little soldier from the Civil War! Hope Elly didn't get to scared. I'm hiding out in my room and have the TV turned up!
