all dressed up.

Do you ever wonder how many photos it takes to get one great picture? You know, where both girls are looking at the camera?
Smiling is a bonus! :)

Easter Morning.

Going through the Easter baskets...
Elly offering her daddy a chocolate bunny (since the bunny didn't leave anything for him!)
Maddy snuggling her new pink bunny!
Maddy showing off her model magic!
Elly showing off her new Ariel bath doll (which Maddy promptly ripped the fins & flowy skirt off the very NEXT day...but let's not go there!)
Egg hunting around the living room...
Eating chocolate (before church!) Don't judge me...it's once a year, people! ;)
In all honesty...Maddy found most of the eggs. Elly was too focused on the fact that she COULD eat a little chocolate before church! Ha!
The night before, Maddy had been quite adamant about leaving out carrots, water, & a napkin for the Easter Bunny. She was glad to discover he had even used his napkin! ;)
More hunting...
Chatting. Eating candy. Good times.
Looking at the new book the bunny brought...
Reading about the new movie the bunny brought...
Are you wondering what our sweet dog, Polly, did during this time?
Well, she sat next to me, of course! She just watched the girls...she is such a GOOD dog! :)

The Baskets.

*Our girls are so adorable...when Kevin woke up on Easter morning, he rolled over & saw Maddy sitting at the top of the stairs petting Polly and just looking at the Easter baskets. :) *After Elly woke up, she went potty & took a quick look down the stairs to see if the bunny had come. She screamed! She came running over to me shouting, "He came! He came! The Easter Bunny came!" :)

The Bunny.

The bunny had to get a little creative hiding the eggs this year...

My favorite was the dollhouse shower! Ha!

Easter Egg Hunt

Finally, I am getting around to posting our Easter pictures! I can't believe it has taken me this long! :) We went to our church for the anuual egg hunt on the Sat. before Easter. They had a program in the sanctuary which Maddy especially loved. She loves to sing & dance for Jesus! :) At the hunt, the children are divided into age groups (preschool, k-3, 4-6) and the church grounds are covered in eggs!

Elly had fun looking for eggs...and she is so sweet. Once she had a few, she started handing eggs to her friends to put in their baskets. Ahh...she melts my heart.

I wanted to get more pics of Maddy but, the hunt was literally over in seconds! I couldn't even make it over to her...they were done! :)

After the hunt, the children put the candy in their baskets & put the eggs back in these big bins b/c our church uses the eggs year after year.

Eating the candy is the best part!

Notice the tongues in the above picture! Ha! So cute!

A fun time!

Easy Bake

One weekend day, the girls wanted donuts. I told them they could make donuts in the Easy Bake oven that Maddy got for Christmas...they had been begging to make them for weeks.
Stirring.
Then, Maddy baked. Donuts cooled. Now...for the frosting!
Spreading.
Get every last bit of frosting, Elly! :)
Sprinkles. Now, for a little taste. Yum! :)

another KU game.

A few weeks ago when Kevin took Maddy to a KU women's NIT game, we really wanted Elly to go, too. So when they won & made it to the next round...we took both Wade girls. Believe it or not, it was my first time at Allen Fieldhouse, too! :O I know! I even went to school there & bought the crazy athletic package (every single year) to get tickets...and DID NOT EVER GO! Shocker. I digress... Anyway, this is what Elly did the entire time...

She was so not impressed. Maybe it was because it was a school night, maybe because she is 3. Who knows. But, Maddy on the other hand...

really gets into it! She was cheering & asking questions...

Anyway, at half time...Maddy found her friend Isabelle who was sitting 3 rows up from the floor. Maddy is sitting next to the woman in the bright yellow shirt. What great seats! She loved it. KU ended up winning! The KU women ended up having a great season!

calzones

Maddy's Brownie troop went to BPD and made calzones for our family! It's a place where all of the ingredients are already prepared and you create your meals & go home! They even clean up after you! :) Maddy was so proud of herself & her calzones were so yummy!
Thanks, MRW! You can make supper anytime! ;)
