My friend Heather's husband, Grant, is running for County Commissioner in our district. That is him above standing with Heather, and their daughter Quillen, and Brady (who drove their truck.) Tonight was the CPA parade and we walked with them passing out water balloons, flyers, & magnets. The girls have been looking forward to this all week...especially since Heather gave us Grant t-shirts to wear...
They have been dancing around the house wearing their t-shirts singing, "We are the Eichhorn princesses! We are the Eichhorn princesses!" :) Our plan for the evening was to walk in the parade and then walk around the carnival to see some friends and get some cotton candy or a snow cone. But, Mother Nature had different plans for us today...a thunderstorm! Usually, the CPA parade is so hot you cannot breathe! Not today. The parade was scheduled to start at 7pm but because of the storm rolling in, they started it 15 minutes early. I don't know what was more crazy...us for walking in the lightning or the parade-goers for watching us from their metal lawn chairs! It was a good thing that we were at the beginning of the parade because shortly after we made it to the end it started pouring down buckets of rain! While the storm raged outside, Grant and Heather treated us to some yummy BBQ! Thanks, guys, we had so much fun!!

Maddy enjoyed sitting next to Quillen, Grant & Heather's daughter. They walked together in the parade handing out water balloons to the children. Quillen is so sweet to Maddy & Elly. :)
Elly ran into her good friend, Andrew, at the parade! She had to stop and give him a hug! We miss Andrew!
