she's gone.
If you ask Elly about her best friend...
she will tell you that R. moved to Minnesota. It's true. Her last day at school was this past Friday. I don't think it has really hit Elly yet... :(

That makes me sad for Ms. Elly. You may have to take a picture of Elly, send it to her buddy, and then get one back for Elly to hang on the refrigerator. Maybe set up an internet chat..... They sure look a lot alike!
